ABOUT K-BIAN
KENYA BIODIVERSITY IMPACT ACCELERATOR NETWORK
Kenya Biodiversity Impact Accelerator Network (K-BIAN) is a conservation non-profit registered in Kenya under the Public Benefit Organizations Act, 2013 to conserve biological diversity and enhance social welfare by promoting innovative and sustainable environmental management through restoration and conservation incentives. K-BIAN has designed integrated interventions that address the nexus between biodiversity, climate change, health, education and sustainable livelihoods. Currently, K-BIAN is focusing on conservation and related programs in the Greater Kakamega Forest Ecosystem that stretches Kibiri, Kakamega, Malava and Bunyala Forests of Western Kenya.

Access to quality education is a major challenge in parts of Kenya due to insuficient school infrastructure and an acute shortage of teachers.
